Streamlabs distributes the user's content over platforms such as Twitch, YouTube Live, and Facebook Live. Electron is used as the software framework for the user interface. Streamlabs Desktop (formerly Streamlabs OBS) is a free and open-source streaming software that is based on a fork of OBS Studio. Streamlabs OBS and other Streamlabs services are free to use on macOS and Windows computers. If you’re a gamer and have a powerful PC, Streamlabs is the better choice. These widgets, called "Monetize" and "Engage," allow its users to collect donations from their fans and view information on the number of follows, subscriptions, cheers, and other metrics. However, OBS Studio requires fewer system resources. Streamlabs also provides widgets that integrate with their software and its partners. Streamlabs uses about 12 of my CPU vs traditional OBS using about 5-6. The ONLY thing that other streaming services have over Streamlabs is the CPU usage.
